Cape Wine, “The Nature Reserve” Shiraz Grenache, 2019

Introduction

“The Nature Reserve” Shiraz Grenache – fresh red dry wine made from Shiraz and Grenache grapes, which is grown in the Swartland region on shale soils. Harvested by hand in early March in the early morning hours, followed by cold maceration and gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a strictly controlled temperature. The wine is aged in barrels of American and French oak for 12 months. “Nature Reserve” Shiraz Grenache will make a harmonious pair of meat dishes, Mediterranean dishes, stews and barbecue.
