Since 1962, Castello di Monsanto has 25 hectares of vineyards in Chianti Colli Senesi, the harvest of which is the production of Chianti “Monrosso.” In blended wine plays a leading role Sangiovese, to which is added a small fraction of Canaiolo. Fermentation of grapes takes place in steel tanks cooled with cold water. Then the wine is aged for one year in barrels of Slavonian oak.
