Wine Chateau de Mercues, “Icone Wow”, Cahors AOP

Introduction

Chateau de Mercues, “Icone Wow” is a luxurious wine, the quintessence of French Malbec, produced in one of the famous wine regions of France – Cahors. This wine is the pinnacle of excellence and a true icon of winemaking. The grapes for its production are grown in the best areas of the Chateau, in a gravelly terroir. The harvest is collected by hand, separated from the ridges and sorted. Winemaking is carried out to the highest standards, with a cold maceration at 8C for 3 days and fermentation with a slow, careful piping and pumping of the must, ensuring good extraction of tannins and color. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels. The wine is then aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels. The wine is produced only in the best harvest years in quantities of no more than 3,000 bottles.
Rare and exceptional, the Icone Wow cuve combines all that wine has to offer and delivers unforgettable tasting moments when time seems to stand still. The wine can be stored in a bottle for more than 20 years and will continue to improve with age.
