  • Chateau Latour-Martillac Blanc – excellent, complex, aged in oak barrels for white wine. Vineyards with white varieties, the total area of not more than 9 acres, located on gravel soils. The grapes are harvested by hand and subjected to double selection. Fermentation is carried out in oak barrels. The wine is aged in barrels on the lees for 15 months, and 35% used barrels – new. Wine storage capacity is 8-10 years.

    Winery Chateau Latour-Martillac (Chteau Latour-Martillac) was founded in 1953 and got its name from the tower adorning the main courtyard. The tower – part of a small fortress built in Martillac in the XII century ancestors of the famous philosopher and winegrower Montesquieu.
    Wine merchant from Bordeaux, Edward Kressmann, drew attention to producing the Chateau Latour-Martillac high-quality white wines. His eldest son Alfred in 1930 and bought the estate together with his son, Jean began to grow red grapes in the vineyards located in the village of Martillac gravel soils. Together with his son, they have designed the original label with golden sand and stripes that decorate the bottles since 1934. In 1936, Red Wine “Chateau Latour-Martillac” 1934 was served at a banquet in honor of the coronation of His Majesty King George VI.

    Today, the younger sons of Jean Kressmanna – Tristan and Loic Kressmann – with the support of the best oenologist Bordeaux region continues family tradition of producing high quality wines Pessac-Leognan appellasona.
