Wine Corte Giara, Ripasso Valpolicella “La Groletta” DOC, 2022

Introduction

Ripasso Valpolicella – stylish wine with an unusual flavor that complements any meat meal. It combines the bouquet inherent Valpolicella wines, with hints of raisins, typical for Amarone. Soil of the vineyard – varied, with a predominance of clay and limestone, exposure – south-east. Grape harvest takes place by hand in October. Wine fermented in stainless steel vats for 9 days at a controlled temperature (23-28 C), followed by addition of raisins to give more body and volume. Excerpt occurs in several stages. First, the wine is kept 4 months in stainless steel tanks, and then another 11 months in oak barrels of Slavonian oak large volume and then a few more months in the bottle. Potential wine storage Ripasso Valpolicella, 2011 is 3-5 years.
