Introduction

Meet the “Nerd” Nero d’Avola : “I am the alter ego of Alberto Burato, a man with an analytical mind.” This idea was invented by the creators of this red dry wine, identifying it with one of the owners of the company Ferro 13. In English, “nerd” literally means “nerd”, “bore”, usually so stereotypically called a person who is too immersed in mental activity.

“Intellectual wine” Ferro 13, “Nerd” create from the variety Nero d’Avola with the addition of other red varieties. Grapes are grown in Sicily, the plots are located on the shore of Syracuse at an altitude of 50 meters above sea level. The berries are harvested in September, subjecting to preliminary maceration and subsequent fermentation. The wine is aged for 6 months in steel tanks to preserve the freshness and tenderness of the bouquet. The creators themselves give the wine a strong and decisive character, associating its “analytical style” with its experience in creating quality wines.
