Wine “Il Superbo” Bolgeri Superiore DOC, 2017

Introduction

“Il Superbo” Bolgeri Superiore DOC – dense, rich red dry wine with a luxurious aromatic bouquet, created from a blend of grape varieties Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the Bolgheri vineyards. The vines are planted at the foot of the hill and overlook the Tyrrhenian Sea. The grapes are harvested when the berries reach optimum ripeness. The methods of vinification traditional for red wines, including maceration and fermentation, are completed with malolactic fermentation. All processes take place in French oak barrels, in which the wine is subsequently aged for 18 months.

Winery Podere 7 Sette is located in the heart of the Tuscan region of Bolgheri and was created thanks to the desire of Marisa Chiappini to continue her father’s wine business. Today, the continuer of family traditions is Marisa’s son, Giuliano. From the very beginning, Podere 7 Settes have made headlines for their exceptional modernity and innovation, as well as their unique style opposed to the traditional Bolgheri. Seven vices are jokingly attributed to Giuliano, who gave their names to the wines that are produced in the company: L’Invidio (Envy), Il Superbo (Pride), L’Iracondo (Anger) and Il Goloso (Gluttony).
