Wine “Insoglio del Cinghiale”, Toscana IGT, 2023

Introduction

“Insoglio del Cinghiale” – very juicy wine, perfectly reflecting the terroir of the Upper Maremma – born into the world in 2003. Varietal wine composition is changing every year. The creator of “INSOL del Chingiale” – winemaker Helena Lindberg explains it continues to search and the ability to experiment. The name of the wine means “surprise”. This wine is really able to surprise her with a saturated rich flavor and excellent balance.
The grapes for the creation of “INSOL del Chingiale” grown on clay loose soils. First vines were planted here in 2002, planting density of 6,500 vines per hectare. Terroir and vines, despite his youth, provide strength and expressive wine personality. Harvested by hand at the end of September in 15-kilogram boxes. Grapes passes rigorous sorting. Then, it is crushed and destebliruetsya. Fermentation lasted 21 days at 28 C. 20% of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in oak barrels and the rest – in stainless steel tanks. 45% of the wine was aged for 4 months in French oak barrels. After bottling, the wine matures in bottles for another 3 months.

Campo di Sasso estate was purchased by the Marquis Lodovico Antinori in 1995. Campo di Sasso consists of three different vineyards to the west of the road to Bolgheri. The unique geographical position of this large estate promised excellent prospects for development: a varied terroir, great climate Tuscan coast, hot sun and the freshness of the Ligurian Sea. On the basis of Campo di Sasso, Lodovico Antinori together with his older brother – the famous winemaker Piero Antinori, the company has created Tenuta di Biserno. Antinori invited the famous oenologist Michel Rolland, who became personally supervise all processes at the winery. Two wine estates – Insoglio del Cinghiale Toscana IGT and Il Pino di Biserno Toscana IGT has won great recognition among many professionals and wine lovers. In 2010, the court experts was also represented the best wine estates – Toscana IGT Biserno .
