This variety can be used for fortified wines, and is perfect for making table wine, which is becoming increasingly popular. Currently, the age of more than 70% of red vines Kaesler is 40 years or more. Great happiness that the company Kaesler in the 1980s was able to survive and preserve their wealth in the form of Shiraz grapes, when the state fought for the abolition of the class and pay husbandmen Barossa Valley for ensuring that they planted white varieties instead.

In 1997 the old family vineyard Kesler learned Reid Bosvard. He produced wine in Cellarmaster, near their farm. From fruits grown in the area, he did wine “Old Bastard”. The wine turned out so elegantly that the winemaker, before look for another place to grow grapes in the valleys of Marlborough, Napa and the south of France, withdrew from searches. Reid bought the estate in 1999, and his skill and knowledge made the grapes even more saturated and beautiful with the help of precise trimming vines and appropriate irrigation.
