“Kofl” – a dry white wine, the taste of which is characterized by freshness, good structure, fruity notes, excellent acidity and bright aroma filled with tones of gooseberry, blackcurrant leaves and sage. For making wine using grapes Sauvignon Blanc, growing in the area, “Coughlan”, which is divided into a very steep slopes with clay-limestone soils. Sauvignon Blanc roots go very deep into the rich soil. Very positive impact on grape and its development have mountain streams that feed the soil with minerals, as well as the evening breeze, which provides the necessary grapes cool after a hot day. That is why the drink is characterized by a special freshness and good acidity. After collecting the berries are soft pressing procedure. Lees aging is done in oak barrels. During aging the wine is constantly stirred, which enriches it with oxygen and makes it more difficult.
Winery Kurtatsch is located in the southern part of South Tyrol. The area is characterized by a special microclimate. Summer temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius are not uncommon, warm autumn days alternating with cold nights. This allows manufacturers to bring the ripening of the grapes to the point of “Hang Time”, where the optimal maturity coincides with the excellent level of acidity. From such grapes get rich, intensely fruity, rich red wines and elegant, floral and fragrant white wine. Vineyards farms are located on the slopes and hills at an altitude of 200 to 900 meters above sea level and is considered to be unique.

Most of the best wines in the world is produced from grapes grown on calcareous soils.
