Wine La Magia, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2018

Introduction

La Magia, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a refined and charming wine that expresses power and elegance in a single bottle. The wine is made from Sangiovese grown in the central south-eastern part of Montalcino, where the soil is 20 cm of rocky sand on a clay subsoil, and the vines are 43 years old. This terroir, combined with the venerable age of the vines, gives the wine unique characteristics. The harvest takes place in the first week of September, and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels. Maceration takes 40 days on the skins. The wine is aged for 3 years in 500-liter French oak barrels, a third of which are new, 2/3 are used. The 2017 vintage was bottled in July 2021. A total of 40,000 bottles were produced.
