  • The rich, sweet wine “Pergole Vece” Recioto is created from six grape varieties, selected from three different crus in the Valpolicella Classico DOC. For vintage used traditional techniques “appassimento”, in which a healthy high-quality grapes are dried up during first 6 months in small wooden boxes in a well-ventilated place. During this time, the moisture evaporates from the berries, and must have obtained very concentrated, aromatic, sweet, with a high alcohol content. Subsequent fermentation of wort terminated by stopping the fermentation. As a result, the fault is present in a sufficient amount of residual sugar. After filtration, the wine is aged for 20 months in barrels of Slavonian oak and 6 months in bottle. The wine has excellent storage potential – at least 10 years of age.

In the north-east of Italy is the largest wine-growing region of the country – Veneto, stretching from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea. In its central part, in the mountains there is a small village of Fumane (Fumane), whose inhabitants in 1860 built the sanctuary of Le Salette in honor of the Madonna, to protect their vineyards from the phylloxera epidemic. Family Skamperle have possessed the finest vineyards in the village, and that its members were the initiators of the construction of the temple. One of the vineyard, which is the property Skamperle, located below the church building and bears the same name – Le Salette.
Multi-generational family Skamperle loyal to their native land, many decades engaged in growing grapes and making wine, gradually expanding their business. The family currently owns twenty hectares of vineyards located in the most famous places of the Valpolicella Classico region, in the territory of which are cultivated local grape varieties such as Corvina, Korvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta, a small amount of Molenaar and Kroatina. When working with vines are used well-proven methods and means of production, preserving the identity and characteristics of grapes. Dynasty Skamperle committed to creating only the highest quality drinks, and it never stops in their research, the search for and development of new brands of wine.
