  • Rosso di Montefalco – bright, expressive red wine with complex aromas and rich, balanced flavor with a strong character.
    The wine is made from a blend of grape varieties of the three – Sangiovese, Merlot and Sagrantino, which is collected in an estate in Montefalco Turrito. This is – a modern and versatile wine that owes its soft and fruity Merlot, while Sagrantino makes it taste harmonious and beverages. Fermentation in contact with the skins takes place in steel tanks and lasts for 28 days. Excerpt held for 12 months in barriques and 6 months in the bottle after a light filtration.
    On the wine label depicts a view of the winery Turrito di Montefalco, and in the foreground you can see the falcon, which is the symbol of the city. Hunting with falcons has been a great passion of Emperor Swabian Frederick II, and it has become an honorable tradition of the city.

    Giorgio Lungarotti founded economy Cantine Giorgio Lungarotti in the early 60-ies of XX century, it is one of the devotees of modern high-quality wine. Currently Wineries Giorgio Lungarotti continue his 2 daughters – Chiara and Teresa. Their desire for new things while respecting the family tradition was the impetus for the development of winemaking in the region as a whole. Thanks to their efforts in 1968 wine area Torgiano (Torgiano) one of the first obtained the status of DOC, and since the harvest of 1983, wines of this region have a classification DOCG.
    The company also Lungarotti cultivates olive trees and produces excellent balsamic vinegar. A huge role in the company plays the wife of Giorgio Lungarotti – Maria Grazia Marchetti, which attaches great importance to the culture of wine consumption and its long history. Thanks to her in 1974, the company opened Lungarotti Wine Museum, which is located in the palace of the XVII century, and in 2000 the Museum was opened olive oil. In the possession of the family Lungarotti are 260 hectares of vineyards, of which 40 hectares are located in Torgiano and 20 hectares in Montefalco. The cultivation of the vine apply advanced methods and strict limitation of productivity, as well as respect for the environment.
