Wine Monte Dall’Ora, “San Giorgio Alto”, Valpolicella DOC Classico Superiore, 2017

Introduction

“San Giorgio Alto” – a very elegant, refined natural red wine, born on the hill of San Giorgio Ingannapoltron, facing southwest at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level. The vineyard with a unique terroir is cultivated with organic methods and biodynamic preparations. The kite on the wine label represents freedom of choice, because San Giorgio Alto wine goes against the wind and deviates from the general image of Valpolicella, striving for the ideal of purity and personality of a unique vineyard.
Harvested by hand in small boxes in late September and early October. After spontaneous fermentation for 8-10 days and further maceration on the skins, the wine is aged for 12 months in 25 hl barrels and in bottles after bottling. Decantation is recommended before drinking San Giorgio Alto .
