Wine Numanthia, “Termanthia”, Toro DO, 2014

Introduction

“Termanthia” is the treasure of the winery of Numantia: a symbolic, bright, daring, powerful and modern wine from the grape variety of Tinta de Toro, chosen from the best terroir of the Toro region. Grapes are collected from low-yielding, unvaccinated vines of 120-150 years old at the time of optimal ripeness. The process of winemaking is to extract the full potential of each fruit and provide the wine with the inherent elegance, texture and intense fruity aroma. After the vinification, “Termantia” ripens 6 months in new barrels of French oak from Bordeaux and 16 months in barrels of French oak from Bordeaux second fill. The peak of the maturity of the vintage in 2011 will be in 2018-2032. Before use, decantation is recommended.
