  • Dry red wine “Vina Arnaiz” Reserva shows the full expression of Tempranillo grapes grown in the region of Ribera del Duero. Agriculture Vina Arnaiz, harvest of which is used for the production of wine, is located in the town of Haza in the municipality of Burgos, in the heart of Ribera del Duero. It was founded in 2004. Wine production combines the latest advances in modern technology, while maintaining the spirit of place and history. In the vineyards of 100 acres cultivated grape varieties such as Tinta del Pais (Tempranillo), Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Aging of the wine takes place in American and French oak barrels.

    Ribera del Duero region is characterized by strong temperature fluctuations and climatic variation. We can say that the climate here is a cross between the continental and Mediterranean, receive moderate rainfall, summer is quite dry, and winters are long and harsh temperatures reach 0 F. Grapes absorbs the maximum concentration of flavors of this unique terroir. Harvested by hand, as a rule – in mid-October. Each variety is scrutinized winemakers determining varietal variability and aging time of each vintage individually.

    Winemaking traditions in the company Garca Carrin originated several centuries ago. Family Carrin was the owner of vineyards in Jumilla and engaged in the production of wine, which is sold directly to the winery. In 1890, built a new winery, much more of the former. The company’s goal was to increase the export of wines from Jumilla in France, made possible by the phylloxera epidemic that hit the French vineyards. Thus, 1890 is the year the company was founded. Garca Carrin began working in the family business in 1968. To expand the market, it was decided to build another winery near Jumilla and equip it with a powerful bottling line. In the early 80s, with the advent of hypermarkets in Spain there was a need to review the practice of packaging for wine. Instead of the bottle on the farm Karon Garcia began to use technology Tetrapak, which led to a change in traditions. It was a very difficult time when the company was alone in his endeavors and experienced distrust and pressure from other winemakers. The company now owns vineyards in 10 different regions: Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Jumilla, Alicante, Castilla La Mancha, Peneds, Catalonia and Cava. In terms of sales the company Garca Carrin is the largest in Spain.
