  • Excellent wine “Poggio al Vento” Riserva is produced only in exceptional harvest years. As a result of prolonged exposure to light is born mature, rounded and complex wine, capable of subsequent long-term storage.
    Wine “Poggio al Vento” Riserva – monosortovoe, it is produced from grapes Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello), grown in the hills at an altitude of Sant’Angelo 350 meters. Vineyards were planted in 1974. Exposition areas – South and climatic conditions can be called optimal: spring rainfall, high temperatures in July and August. Crop harvested by hand. The grapes for the creation of “Poggio al Vento” Riserva carefully selected in the vineyard and in the cellars of the winery using the sorting tables. Fermentation and maceration for 25 days at a controlled temperature not exceeding 28 C is carried out in stainless steel tanks, low and wide shape which allows the skins and the grape mash more closely in contact with each other. Then the wine is 4 years the wine is aged in French oak barrels Allier and Slavonian oak, then bottled and about 2 years matures in bottles in a well air-conditioned basement. Vintage 2006 was butillirovan 21-22 July 2011.
