Wine Riecine, “Vigna Gittori” Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, 2019

Introduction

Chianti Classico – a prime example of the classic Chianti. It is a red Italian wine produced in the best Tuscan tradition, has received worldwide recognition. Harvesting takes place by hand, the berries are sorted twice – in the vineyards and on the sorting table. Maceration lasts about 40 days. The wine is aged 18 months in cement tanks “Nomblot”, barriques and large wooden barrels. Vintage 2012 was bottled in May 2014.

Rechine winery, located in the heart of Tuscany and takes its place among the best vineyards in Italy, continues to grow and gain a place in the market as a classic winery. The founders of the economy are Riecine Englishman John Dunkley – one of the respected producers of Chianti Classico, and his wife – Italian. In 1971 they purchased 1.5 hectares of land, restored the old villa and the revival of the vineyards. The first harvest was in 1973, and the first wine saw the world in 1975.

In 1996, an American couple Gary and Marlene Baumann bought a winery and today are its owners. Although since then much has changed, but the main products of the company and is the Chianti Classico, made on the basis of Sangiovese.

The company’s goal Riecine simple – getting the best Sangiovese in the world using only manual labor and organic wine. The wines produced by the company over the past few years significant progress in quality to the highest level and today are popular with wine lovers all over the world, and the great demand of wine Chianti Classico Riserva and “La Gioia”.
