Introduction

“Rosatello” – one of the most famous Italian ros wines and a living symbol of the Italian lifestyle. It is a pleasant, fresh wine for every day presents a new, modern and youthful image. Since its inception, “Rosatello” always has attractive, original taste and even in the years when most wines were either red or white, it took courage to be pink.
The wine is made from red grapes, which are subject to short-term (4-10 hours) of cold maceration to extract maximum aromas and obtain a characteristic pink color. Then the berries gently pressed. The wort is fermented in a stainless steel tank at a temperature of 16 C. Wine remains in temperature controlled reservoirs at a low temperature before bottling.

Company “Ruffino” began its history in 1877, when the hereditary Tuscan winemakers and great patriots of their native land, cousins Hilario and Leopoldo Ruffino winery founded in the nearby town of Pontassieve to Florence. This company has been producing the best wines of Tuscany. Products “Ruffino” has long since become the hallmark of the famous worldwide Tuscan style. In 1895 at an exhibition in Bordeaux wine Chianti Ruffino was recognized as the best. In 1984, when it was formed appellation Chianti DOCG, the same wine received the first state mark of quality.

In 1913 the company was acquired by the family Folonari. The new owners have managed to make “Ruffino” symbol of wine and sample quality Tuscan wines. The pride of the winery’s flagship wine is Riserva Ducale super premium category, which is available since 1927. Now the company is run by brothers Paolo and Marco Folonari and their families, who own estates with vineyards in the most prestigious wine-producing areas of Tuscany – Chianti, Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino, as well as in the Collio DOC in Friuli. Each estate is managed by experienced agronomist and enologist. The main activity of the “Ruffino” is subject to the maintenance of a high level of quality of all produced wines, it also made a significant contribution to the creation of such a beautiful image of Italian wine-making on the modern international wines. To date, the company’s wines are exported to 85 countries. In 2011, “Ruffino” became the first Italian company to join the largest international consortium Constellation Brands.
