On July 25, when the grapes begin to change color, the winemakers of South Styria celebrate the feast of St. James, the patron of farming. Wine “Jakobi” Sauvignon Blanc is traditionally made from the Sauvignon Blanc variety, which is very well established on local hills. Its taste has acquired an inimitable sound due to the unique climate, soil and nature of the territory. Wine itself will tell about itself with its label, because it depicts an ancient calendar, which is a unique heritage of local residents. It marks all the dates and features of the season, from the first frosts to the harvest, it indicates the phases of the moon, the days of saints and other holidays. Each vintage is unique, and the label is its history. The grapes were vinified in steel tanks and remained on a thin sediment for 5 months.
