Wine “Tentenecio”, Toro DO

Introduction

“Tentenecio” – an impressive, full-bodied red dry wine, wild as a bull, which made a splash in Spain. For the manufacture of wine using selected grapes Tinta de Toro (a variety of Tempranillo), which is grown on the rocky soils of the Toro region. Toro is a wine-growing region in northwestern Spain, whose name itself translates as “bull”, which is very suitable for characterizing the strong wines of the region. The average age of vines reaches 25 years. The grapes are harvested in small plastic boxes at the moment of optimal ripeness of the berries. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature for 17 days, the wort is pumped three times a day. The wine is aged for 8 months in French oak barrels of medium roast.
