In 2016, a new line of unique Siberian Berry wines from Kakheti LLC was presented, which included fruit wines based on taiga berries. For almost two years, employees of the Siberian Research Institute of Horticulture named after M.A. Lisavenko. The basis of the Siberian Berry wines was 100% juice of the first extraction of Siberian berries: blackcurrant, lingonberry, blueberry, honeysuckle and cranberry. The benefits of Siberian berries have been known since ancient times, the systematic use of berries helps to improve the functioning of the body and increase immunity. The Siberian Berry wines absorbed all the power and strength of Siberia, the tenderness of the short northern summer and the delicate aromas of Siberian forests.
The most sought-after wines from the Siberian Berry line were presented in a separate BIO craft line, which included tastes such as Cranberry, Honeysuckle and Black Currant. The wines of the “BIO” line are distinguished by a unique aroma and deep taste. All wines are exclusively natural products and are made without artificial, chemical preservatives and flavor stabilizers.
“Siberian Berry” Cranberry BIO – craft wine made on the basis of juice of whole taiga cranberry berries and apple wine material. Red cranberry berries are one of the most useful among wild growing ones; they are rich in pectins, sugars, organic acids, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, copper, iodine, and iron. The rich composition stimulates the immune system, provides a protective, strengthening effect. Due to its antiviral, antioxidant and antibacterial properties, cranberries are so popular in folk medicine and cosmetology. All wine-making processes are subject to organic and biodynamic practices with minimal interference with the natural process. Thanks to targeted biological management, mutual harmony of soil, climate and plants is achieved. Only perfectly ripe and healthy berries are used in the production. Juice of crushed cranberry berries and concentrated apple juice are mixed for subsequent fermentation, which takes place at a strictly controlled temperature in steel tanks. Cranberries have a unique flavor palette, and in combination with apple juice gives the wine a pleasant taste and aromatic bouquet. The wine will be a great aperitif, a component for cocktails, as well as harmoniously complement light meat dishes, desserts, fruits and cheeses.
