Wine Weinkellerei Hechtsheim, “Le Filou” Grand Secco Blanc

Introduction

“Achim Maler” Riesling, Landwein Rhein – an exquisite white semi-dry wine made from Riesling grapes grown in the company’s vineyards in the Rhine river valley. Wine classification Landwein in Germany roughly corresponds to the French category Vin de Pays and the Italian IGT. The wines of the Rhine Valley are distinguished by their energy and bright minerality. The latter arises due to the unique calcareous soils containing the remains of shells and marine fossils from the ancient sea that covered this territory. Harvesting is carried out after the berries have reached optimum ripeness. The vinification process proceeds according to the traditional method of producing white wines. Wine is recommended to be served with seafood and fish dishes, spicy goat cheeses.

The wine is made by Weinkellerei Hechtsheim GmbH , which was founded in 1971. The company unites 15 wineries. The purpose of the association of winemakers was to promote their products on the world market. In 1986, the company became an independent association with the goal of opening up new marketing opportunities. Various exhibitions and tastings are regularly held at the wineries, thereby allowing anyone who wants to join the culture of wine consumption.
Today, Weinkellerei Hechtsheim GmbH is a subsidiary of the Le Grand Scheu de France group.

The main objective of the companys management considers the production of a wide range of wines of very high quality available to the consumer, therefore GCF Group branches are present in all significant wine-growing regions of France. In addition, to expand the range of wines, the company acquired vineyards and wineries abroad – in the USA, Chile, Germany and Spain. Approximately 76% of the company’s products are exported.
